New Bridges has a comprehensive staff training programme, which  aims to develop and enhance each individual staff member’s skills and knowledge to ensure that they deliver the optimum levels of care and support that we expect whilst using a safe standard of practices.

Each course is developed around current legislation, national minimum standards and regulations, and guidelines including company policies and procedures, and is in accordance with the Social Care Induction Framework.

All training programmes are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they are always up-to-date. Each staff member who attends a training programme completes a pre-assessment form (enabling staff to communicate their expectations) and a post- assessment form (allowing them to evaluate the training programme and give their opinions and suggestions for potential improvements). These evaluation forms are analysed at the end of each week and fed back at monthly managers’ meetings.

The quantity and quality of our training within New Bridges highlights the specialist nature of the service that we provide. We constantly review training materials and new training opportunities in order to match the needs of the service users that we support.
